History of Hawk Sports Management

Hawk Sports Management was founded in 2000 by Don Hawk, the former president of Dale Earnhardt Inc.  Its first two clients were Dale Earnhardt and NASCAR for which Hawk negotiated contracts, sponsorships, endorsements and sanction agreements.

Since its inception the company has built a diverse client base that expands throughout multiple ranks of auto racing as the organization works to build tomorrow’s racing superstars. Hawk Sports Management has also provided its sports management expertise to clients outside the auto racing world including PGA Tour Player Joel Edwards, the Carolinas' Section of the PGA and the Greater Hickory Classic at Rock Barn Country Club and has represented drivers, teams, tracks, sponsors, coaches, athletes in Professional Golf and NCAA Basketball.

Today, Hawk Sports Management is operated by John Hawk, a dynamic sports management visionary with previous experience working with Speedway Motorsports in Charlotte, N.C., and the Worldwide Sports Management Agency, IMG, in New York.
