Daniel Hemric at NASCAR Southern Whelen Modified Tour Race at CMS
October 18, 2010
Daniel Hemric raced the NASCAR Southern Whelen Modified Tour race at Charlotte Motor Speedway this past weekend. The action took place Thursday night in Concord, N.C. and thanks to Roger Hill and his Hillbilly Racing team Daniel was provided a great opportunity to show his talents. After getting rain much of the morning in Concord the Modified series was forced to only have one practice. Daniel took full advantage of the practice and got his car running well enough to be the 7th fastest car. Daniel was excited for qualifying as he hoped he could get even more out of his car...he was right because during qualifying he ran the 3rd fastest time. Unfortunately for Daniel he had to redraw for starting position and ending up starting 8th. He fought his way towards the front of the pack and ended up with a 5th place finish.  Daniel would like to thank Bruton and Marcus Smith personally for their involvement in this NASCAR sanctioned event. Special thanks also go out to all that made this night possible including, Hillbilly Racing, Racing Electronics, Joie of Seating, SumSeeds, Hoosier Tire, Hoyt Demis and Ruston Racing Development.
